We are a team of people working in consultant relationships based on project needs. We come from different backgrounds, united in a passion for working critically – and with curiosity, integrity and camaraderie. Our shared vision to design creative, effective, and responsive solutions for a broad range of projects.

Onah Jung

Principal Architect,  OAA, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP

Onah is a design principal with over two decades of professional experience working on diverse architectural projects both in Canada and the US.

Since founding Studio Jonah in 2009, she has provided leadership and exceptional client service on the firm’s projects in a variety of building types ranging from residential to institutional sectors. Some of the most notable projects are the World Trade Center tower 4, the Museum of Modern Art, and the University of Maryland Hospital, amongst others.  

Onah is registered to practice in Ontario and New York. She also holds LEED AP credentials with the US Green Building Council and strives to incorporate energy-efficient and cost-effective solutions into the project development process from initial design to construction.

She graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Architecture and Columbia University with a Master of Science in Architecture and Urban Design.  

She also serves as the Treasurer for the AIA Canada chapter as well as on the committee for interviewing prospective students for Cornell Architecture School. Also, her design enthusiasm is well documented on her online design platform, Life Outside of Design Studio on all things design related.

Ivan Martinovic

Architect, Dipl. Eng. Arch., OAA, FRAIC, AIA/IA

Ivan is a registered architect with over thirty-five years of professional experience. He holds a professional architectural engineering degree from the University of Belgrade, former Yugoslavia. He has extensive experience in a variety of building projects and types throughout Canada and abroad.

His broad scope of experience includes land-use studies and reports, development of program requirements and area analysis, scheduling, schematic and final designs, co-ordination and direction of project consultants, working drawings, contract documents and contract administration. Ivan has worked with several Toronto-based architectural practices before establishing his own practice in 2001.

Ivan also teaches at different academic levels and for a diverse student population, and volunteers in professional and community organizations. For his volunteer work, Ivan received the G. Randy Roberts Service Award from the Ontario Association of Architects and was named a Fellow in the College of Fellows of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. He is currently a sessional instructor in the Department of Architectural Science of the Ryerson University and an instructor in the School of Continuing Studies of the University of Toronto.

Jacob Farhadian

Building Engineer, P. Eng.

Jacob is a professional engineer with 25 years of work experience. Currently, he serves as the Vice-President of Pancon Engineering Ltd.  His project experiences include all aspects of developing the scope of work and on-site project management. He has been successful in construction projects involving specialized renovations and restorations.

His knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and contract negotiation complement his background in all facets of the Building Science and Structural Rehabilitation. He has extensive experience in working on TCH projects in the past.

Justin Tung

Director, Communications & Digital Architecture

Justin Tung is an award winning marketing and digital communications technology specialist with international education and certifications. He has managed client accounts and digital strategy and marketing execution for over 10 years across retail, sport, government, and health promotion using digital/print channels, media releases, and special events. Justin graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and minor in Computer Science. Justin also holds certificates in marketing communications from the University of Toronto and Canadian national coaching certification.

His communications and technology architecture work includes the first government service in North America to have a money-back service guarantee reducing a 20 week service turnaround time to 15 days guaranteed and the first data center in the world to receive Uptime Institute’s Tier 4 certification for operational sustainability.

In his free time, he enjoys volunteering to promote health through sport and the environment with the City of Toronto urban forestry and managing media operations at sport events such as the 2015 Pan Am and Parapan Games and 2019 Canada Winter Games.
