Onah is a seasoned design principal with over 20 years of experience leading a wide range of architectural projects across Canada and the United States.
Since founding Studio Jonah in 2009, she has consistently delivered exceptional leadership and client service, overseeing projects in sectors as diverse as residential, institutional, and commercial architecture. Her portfolio includes high-profile projects such as the World Trade Center Tower 4, and the Museum of Modern Art.
Licensed to practice in both Ontario and New York, Onah holds LEED AP credentials from the US Green Building Council, underscoring her commitment to sustainability. She is dedicated to integrating energy-efficient and cost-effective solutions throughout the design and construction process.
Onah’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University and a Master of Science in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University. In addition to her professional practice, she served as the Treasurer for the AIA Canada chapter and actively participates in the Cornell Architecture School’s admissions process as a committee member interviewing prospective students.
Her passion for design extends beyond her professional work, as she regularly shares insights and inspirations on her online design platform, Life Outside of Design Studio, where she explores all things design-related.
