Onah is a design principal with over two decades of professional experience working on diverse architectural projects both in Canada and the US.
Since founding Studio Jonah in 2009, she has provided leadership and exceptional client service on the firm’s projects in a variety of building types ranging from residential to institutional sectors. Some of the most notable projects are the World Trade Center tower 4, the Museum of Modern Art, and the University of Maryland Hospital, amongst others.
Onah is registered to practice in Ontario and New York. She also holds LEED AP credentials with the US Green Building Council and strives to incorporate energy-efficient and cost-effective solutions into the project development process from initial design to construction.
She graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Architecture and Columbia University with a Master of Science in Architecture and Urban Design.
She also serves as the Treasurer for the AIA Canada chapter as well as on the committee for interviewing prospective students for Cornell Architecture School. Also, her design enthusiasm is well documented on her online design platform, Life Outside of Design Studio on all things design related.
